Shiatsu/Shin Tai

Shiatsu is a form of Japanese bodywork based  in traditional Chinese medicine. Shiatsu derives from a Japanese massage modality called anma which was itself adapted from tui na.  Tui na is a Chinese bodywork system that arrived in Japan by at least the Nara period.

Cranio Sacral Therapy

Craniosacral therapy is a form of bodywork or alternative therapy using gentle touch to palpate the synarthrodial joints of the cranium. A practitioner of cranial-sacral therapy may also apply light touches to a patient's spine and pelvic bones

Gua Sha

Gua sha is a massage technique used in Chinese medicine to relieve pain and muscle tension. It is applied using massage oil and a rounded edged instrument like a ceramic spoon. Gua sha improves local circulation and breaks up scar tissue or adhesions in the muscles and connective tissue.
